Alivio orthotic friendly footwear comes with two different inserts inside. Most wearers who use their own full length orthotics remove both inserts, but there are other combinations that work best for different types of feet and orthotics. The top insert provides excellent cushioning and arch support and is made for use without a separate orthotic. Most wearers who do not use their own orthotic remove the bottom insert and use this insert by itself. The thinner bottom insert is purposely made to offer minimal support. This insert can be used along with the top insert to best fit narrower feet, or with your own half length or thinner orthotic to supply cushioning for the forefoot and toes.
